Rates & How It Works
Every climbing objective is a little different, and guiding rates reflect that.

I focus on private, custom days and work with permitted guide services across multiple regions. Because of this, pricing varies by objective, group size, and season.
The ranges below offer a starting point. If you’re not sure what makes sense, I’m happy to talk it through and help you choose the best path forward.
Private Consults (Extended Sessions)
For climbers seeking deeper mentorship or focused guidance. Topics may include:
-
Climbing skills, movement, and systems
-
Beta and planning for upcoming climbs or trips
-
Mentorship and professional development
-
Advice for upcoming AMGA programs
Private consults are tailored to your goals and experience and can be scheduled as a one-off or ongoing support.
Full Day Objectives
(6-8 hours)
Most full-day objectives fall within a range of $275–$525 per day.
Final pricing depends on:
-
The specific objective
-
Guide service operating the trip
-
Group size
-
Season and conditions
If you’re unsure what category your goal fits into, I’m happy to help you think it through and provide a realistic estimate.
Long Day / Alpine Objectives (8+ hours)
Longer days—such as grade IV multi-pitch rock routes or alpine climbs—typically range from $595–$850 per day.
Rates vary based on:
-
Objective complexity and length
-
Guide service and permitting
-
Group size
-
Season and logistics
Reach out with a general idea of your goal and experience level, and I can help match you with the right service and clarify next steps.
